My New Website

Posted by & filed under News.

My previous photography website was designed and created by Voltronik and was a very useful tool to expose my portfolio.

Voltronik recently approached me to expand the caliber of the site, to update the format and make it easier for me to run more independently and with additional features such as the ‘Shop‘. They have been very hands on throughout the process and always been available when needed. A joy to collaborate with for concepts of how the site should progress too. I highly recommend the web design services of Voltronik, which has recently expanded from a one-man band to a three person team in order to meet demand and targets. Please contact them if you are in need of a website.

I decided a logo would be an important aspect of the new site, having an image you can associate with my name and work that would be instantly recognisable and unique. The Logo was an idea and a symbol of my surname Scul-lion (Skull Lion) using the mane on the skull to deter it from being mistaken as a domestic cat skull. I shared my thoughts with a professional Make-Up Artist and my friend Candy Alderson who took the concept and created an incredibly detailed image which was much better than I imagined. I then had a professional Graphic Designer friend, Paul Whitefield, turn it into a digital image and create a variety of styles for different purposes. He did an incredible job matching the detail and used a different take on the logo to design my business cards.

Please have a browse through the new website. There are plenty of new images to view and purchase and more will be coming soon.

5th Anniversary of Crispystock

Posted by & filed under Uncategorized.

Crispystock 2011 is this Saturday 10th at The Lights in Andover, Hampshire. Come support a great cause, watch incredible bands and have fun whilst doing it. The event boasts great talents and a gathering of like minded people coming to have a party in aid of our “local hero” Christopher ‘ Crispy’ Vearncombe celebrating his life that tragically was taken too soon in 2006.

Please take time to read this article by the local paper Andover Advertiser.

Hope to see all the regulars and new friends on Saturday.

Jean Claude Van Damme – Shoot

Posted by & filed under Uncategorized.

The legend himself and my hero since forever; Jean Claude Van Damme is in England tomorrow shooting for a new film called ‘UFO’ with his daughter Bianca Van Varenberg as the lead. I am privilaged enough to be on set thanks to the Production Manager; Patricia Rybarczyk, and will be taking stills and behind the scenes shots and with any luck get to take some portraits and of course get a photo of myself with him. I am very excited as this is the man that got me into Martial Arts in a big way, thanks to my cousin Michael who showed me his films when i was 7 or 8 years old and got me hooked.

Stay tunes for photos 🙂
